Kota Bommali PS will give best theatrical experience: Teja Marni 

Kota Bommali PS is directed Teja Marni, the maker behind the critically acclaimed political drama Johaar and the action thriller Arjuna Phalguna. The film stars versatile actor Srikanth Meka, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Rahul Vijay and Shivani Rajashekar in lead roles and produced by GA2 Pictures. The film is releasing tomorrow and the director shared few intriguing insights about the film.

He said, “The film has little relevance to present political situations in Telugu states. There are a few hard realities about the system that continue to be significant in political crises. We sought to explain “How people are corrupted and the system?” And this is the crux of our story. Kota Bommali PS has no political agendas.”

He added “You want to tell a story that resonates with your beliefs as a director, and I’m very socially responsible, so my films will reflect that. Cinema does not transform people, but it can impact them and make them think. As a result, we must use visual media with care because it registers more.”

Talking about the remakes, he said “I don’t agree the statement “remakes doesn’t work.” Lot of blockbusters are remakes but due to OTT, the audience got exposure to world cinema. Audience encouraging remakes and they are comparing with the original. We do remakes to tell a good story to more people and if audience comes with fresh perspective without any comparisons they will be engaged till the end.”

Talking about actors, he said “There is a reason why the artists were chosen for the roles. Srikanth garu is playing a serious role with a quirky side. For me, Rahul Vijay was an obvious option. Shivani Rajashekar was cast in the part because I wanted a natural and simple Telugu girl. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar garu, Murali Sharma garu, and all of the other characters were chosen based on their image. The characters will haunt you after the film.”

We made it as packed thriller to give best theatrical experience. In the 2nd half, there are beautiful emotions that everyone will connect. I think everyone should watch the film and coming generation will know how powerful is Vote and it will become reference.
