After a Phenomenal Hindi Run, Hanuman Ansh to Release in Telugu on October 9
Some films find their audience instantly. Others grow with every passing day, carried by word of mouth and a connection that goes beyond the screen. Hanuman Ansh belongs to the latter.
The Hindi film, inspired by the life and teachings of revered spiritual master Neem Karoli Baba, popularly known as Maharaj-ji, has emerged as one of the year’s most successful surprise performers. What began as a modestly mounted film went on to find a strong audience across India, with its story of faith, devotion and transformation striking a chord across generations.
Written and directed by Dr. Vishal Chaturvedi, Hanuman Ansh brings the extraordinary spiritual journey of Neem Karoli Baba to the screen. The film features Shobinaw Satyaa in the lead role as Neem Karoli Baba, along with Chandan Anand and Purnima Tiwari among the principal cast. The film’s music is composed by Shreyas Dharmadhikari, with Rishi Pathak also credited as music director, complementing the film’s spiritual and deeply rooted narrative.
Following its successful theatrical journey in Hindi, the film is now set to reach Telugu-speaking audiences. Hombale Films, which previously took Hanuman Ansh to international audiences through its overseas distribution arm, has now acquired the theatrical rights for the South Indian languages. The Telugu version will release theatrically on October 9, marking the next chapter in the film’s journey.
For Hombale Films, the association with Hanuman Ansh has evolved from taking the film beyond Indian shores to bringing its story to audiences across the South. Known for taking Indian stories to audiences across languages and geographies, Hombale Films is now extending the film’s theatrical footprint across Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam markets.
At the heart of Hanuman Ansh is a story that transcends language. Neem Karoli Baba’s teachings and philosophy have found followers across the world, and the film attempts to capture that universal spiritual connect through an intimate cinematic journey.
With the film already creating a strong impact in Hindi, Hanuman Ansh now arrives in Telugu with the hope of finding an entirely new audience and carrying Maharaj-ji’s story to even more people.
From Hindi theatres to audiences across the world, and now across South India the journey of Hanuman Ansh continues.
