Tata Motors Unveils Next-Gen Truck Range and All-New Azura in Hyderabad to Boost Transport Profitability
HYDERABAD: Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, has officially launched its all-new Azura range alongside a premium lineup of next-generation trucks in Hyderabad. The strategic launch aims to strengthen the company’s profit-led commercial vehicle portfolio in Telangana by lowering the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), increasing vehicle uptime, and maximizing customer earnings.
The launch highlights Hyderabad’s growing prominence as a pivotal logistics hub for cement, coal, agricultural freight, e-commerce, and industrial transport within the state’s rapidly expanding infrastructure ecosystem. As part of the rollout, Tata Motors handed over the first fleet of these next-generation trucks to key regional customers, signaling immediate adoption across diverse transport sectors.
Driving Economic Efficiency in Telangana:
The transport landscape in Telangana is evolving rapidly, driven by industrial clusters and major freight corridors. The new vehicle ranges are engineered specifically to thrive in these high-utilization environments.
“Telangana represents a high-potential and evolving transport landscape, driven by bulk movement of cement and coal, agri-linked trade, and growing industrial activity,” said Mr. Rajesh Kaul, Vice President and Business Head of Trucks at Tata Motors Ltd. “The all-new Azura range has been developed to perform reliably across these demanding applications… enabling faster turnaround times, improved uptime, and lower operating costs.”
Mr. Kaul added that the next-gen heavy trucks are ideally suited for payload-intensive operations like sand, cement, and ready-mix concrete, allowing transporters to maximize their earnings per trip through superior fuel economy.
The All-New Azura: Reimagining the Medium-Duty Segment
The Azura range introduces a paradigm shift in the Intermediate and Light Medium Commercial Vehicle (ILMCV) segment, spanning 7 to 19-tonne configurations.
Key Highlights of the Azura Range:
