Natural Diamond Council Rebrands as ‘The Diamond Collective’ with New Global Strategy
The Natural Diamond Council has officially rebranded as The Diamond Collective, unveiling a comprehensive global strategy designed to reconnect natural diamonds with contemporary culture, bolster consumer confidence, and drive long-term market demand. Formulated by CEO Amber Pepper following a six-month consultation with industry producers, retailers, creatives, and consumers, the initiative marks a pivotal pivot from category defense to proactive growth.
Three Core Pillars for Growth:
The organization’s updated framework focuses on three central priorities designed to reshape how consumers perceive and purchase luxury diamonds. First, Inspire focuses on igniting consumer desire through culture, creativity, and globally connected storytelling, creating a direct path to consideration and purchase. Second, Protect aims to safeguard consumer confidence through factual clarity and transparency, tackling misinformation while clearly differentiating natural diamonds from synthetic stones. Finally, Unite brings together producers, retailers, brands, designers, and emerging voices to align the entire industry around shared objectives for long-term growth.
Key Initiatives and Measurable Impact:
To bring this vision to life, The Diamond Collective is rolling out a series of targeted global programs. These include culturally driven marketing campaigns, a universal Trustmark, enhanced origin narratives, and investments in AI and digital discovery tools.
To track its effectiveness, the organization is launching the Diamond Desire Index. Starting with a baseline across the US, India, and China, the index will monitor consumer sentiment, purchase intent, and recommendations to measure shifting behaviors and long-term demand.
A Unified Industry Future:
While the Natural Diamond Collective will serve as the primary public-facing brand, the Natural Diamond Council will remain the legal entity. Emphasizing a collaborative participation model, CEO Amber Pepper noted that the strategy aims to harness the collective expertise of the entire supply chain to celebrate the rarity of natural diamonds and translate emotional value into lasting commercial demand.
