Midwest Energy Inaugurates Giga Watt Scale BESS Manufacturing Facility in Bengaluru

Midwest Energy, the technology and clean energy arm of the Midwest Business House, has announced the commencement of commercial production at its 1.2 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing facility in Bengaluru. Featuring integrated Cell-to-Container production capabilities, the plant manufactures battery modules, trays, racks, and fully integrated containerized systems tailored for commercial, industrial, renewable energy, and utility-scale applications. This milestone marks a crucial advancement in strengthening India’s domestic energy storage manufacturing capabilities as modern power infrastructure increasingly relies on battery storage for grid flexibility and stability.

Facility Highlights and Technical Capabilities:
Designed for scalable manufacturing and globally benchmarked quality standards, the Bengaluru facility incorporates advanced assurance, traceability, and end-of-line testing. Key highlights include:

Annual Capacity: 1.2 GWh of clean energy storage production.

Capacity Range: Spans from 3 kWh to 6 MWh (48V–1500V) to serve diverse customer requirements.

Compliance: Products are aligned with rigorous international safety standards, including UL 1973, UL 9540, and UL 9540A.

Applications: Deployed across commercial, industrial, renewable, and utility sectors.
