Maruti Suzuki Sets Historic Record by Servicing Over 2.84 Crore Vehicles in a Single Year
NEW DELHI : Maruti Suzuki India Limited has shattered its own after-sales records by attending to more than 2.84 crore (28.4 million) vehicles within a single financial year. This milestone represents the highest-ever annual service volume managed in the company’s history, solidifying its position as the country’s most utilized automotive service provider.
The achievement is backed by Maruti Suzuki’s unparalleled domestic infrastructure, which currently spans 5,926 service touchpoints across India. The automaker attributes the successful management of this massive service load to a combination of highly trained technical manpower, standardized processes, and increasingly digitized, technology-driven workshop operations.
Service Footprint to Outpace Sales Ahead of FY31:
Company leadership emphasized that exceptional after-sales care is a core pillar for maintaining long-term vehicle health, optimizing performance, and driving brand loyalty in a highly competitive automotive market.
To keep pace with rapid technological advancements in modern vehicles and shifting customer expectations, the company plans to aggressively scale up its physical and digital infrastructure. By the end of the decade, the carmaker intends to expand its reach even further, aiming to establish approximately 8,000 service touchpoints by FY 2030-31.
“Achieving our highest‑ever annual service load is a significant milestone and reflects the trust customers place in Maruti Suzuki’s after‑sales capabilities,” said Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited. “Since our inception, we have consistently believed that our service footprint should remain ahead of sales. As vehicle technologies advance and customer expectations continue to evolve, we remain committed to expanding our service footprint and introducing innovative service formats to address diverse customer needs more efficiently.”
By continuing to expand its reach deeper into rural and urban clusters, Maruti Suzuki aims to ensure its massive domestic customer base enjoys shorter lead times, enhanced service accessibility, and reliable vehicle lifecycles well into the next decade.
