Driving the Future – Maruti Suzuki Unveils Advanced Manufacturing Lab to Champion India’s Skill Mission

NEW DELHI : In a major boost to the Government of India’s ‘Skill India’ mission, Maruti Suzuki India Limited has officially inaugurated a state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing Lab (AML) at the Government ITI in Hassangarh, Rohtak. This corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative is designed to bridge the critical gap between traditional classroom learning and the fast-evolving technological demands of the modern automobile industry.

In its inaugural year, the newly established Smart Factory Lab is projected to provide specialized, industry-relevant training to approximately 200 students. By replicating real-world automotive shop floors, the facility offers trainees invaluable hands-on experience in essential manufacturing disciplines including assembly, welding, painting, machining, mechatronics, and rigorous industrial safety protocols.

The high-profile inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr. Sachin Gupta, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Rohtak, alongside top executives from Maruti Suzuki and leadership from the institute. Highlighting the impact of the initiative, the event also featured the distribution of formal offer letters to several outstanding students, securing their upcoming apprenticeships at Maruti Suzuki immediately upon course completion.
