Engine Performance and Powertrain:
Building on the established touring DNA of the TRK platform, the new generation is powered by a upgraded 554cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. The new powerplant delivers 52 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 49 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. Paired with a six-speed transmission and slipper clutch, the engine provides strong performance alongside smoother control during rapid downshifts.
Variant Distinctions, Chassis, and Suspension:
Both variants are constructed around a tubular steel trellis frame and aluminum swingarm, featuring a 50 mm Marzocchi USD front fork, a preload-adjustable rear monoshock, twin 320 mm floating front discs, a 260 mm rear disc, and Bosch dual-channel ABS. However, their hardware configurations reflect distinct riding priorities:
TRK 552 (Road-Focused): Features 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels with Pirelli tires (120/70ZR17 front, 160/60ZR17 rear), a 190 mm ground clearance, and an 835 mm seat height balanced for highway usability.
TRK 552X (Off-Road Focused): Equipped with spoked wheels (19-inch front, 17-inch rear) fitted with Metzeler tires (110/80R19 front, 150/70R17 rear), an increased 210 mm ground clearance, and an 860 mm seat height for off-road capability.
Rider Technology and Comfort Features:
The updated cockpit introduces a 5-inch TFT display incorporating Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, offline maps, smartphone integration, trackback functionality, and T-BOX connectivity. A Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) comes standard on both models. Designed to minimize fatigue on long-distance journeys, both motorcycles feature heated grips, a heated seat, newly designed double-threaded seats with extra padding, an adjustable handlebar, handguards, and a 20-liter fuel tank.
Leadership Perspective:
Speaking on the launch, Mr. Vikas Jhabakh, Managing Director, Benelli India, stated that the TRK name has become synonymous with the spirit of touring and exploration, and that the new TRK 552 family takes that philosophy into a new generation. He emphasized that the brand focused on performance, comfort, control, technology, and versatility to give riders the freedom to explore further, whether their journey stays on the highway or takes them beyond it.
