BATA Celebrated Ugadi Sambaralu in a grand way!!

Bay Area Telugu Association (BATA)’s annual “flagship” event and the most popular event in the Bay Area Telugu community, “శ్రీ ‌ క్రోధి” నామ సంవత్సర ఉగాది సంబరాలు (Ugadi Sambaralu) was a grand success held at India Community Center, Milpitas, CA. It was well attended by over 2,000 + guests throughout the day. The event started at 10AM with Youth Talent Show (Dancing & Singing), continued till 11 PM with an array of cultural programs.

There was huge support from the business community. The event was Presented by Sanjay Tax, Powered by realtor Nagaraj Anniah, Gold Sponsor was Srini Goli real estates, Dental partner YouSmile Dental & Other Sponsors include PNG Jewlers, Astrologer Vishnu, Paatasala (telugu school) & Mahakaleshwar Temple.

The venue decorations captured the Telugu New Year, Ugadi spirit. The entry of the venue was packed with vendor tables with variety of Indian traditional jewelry, clothing, real estate, financial & tax services and special food festival (with over 100 + items). Ugadi Pachadi was served to mark the beginning of the Telugu New Year.

There was an overwhelming response to the competitions this year and they were conducted in two separate halls with over 300+ kids enthusiastically participating in classical, folk/ film singing, dancing and special talent.

The main cultural program started at 6:00 pm. Vijaya Aasuri (BATA Advisor) warmly welcomed all the guests and the curtains opened to showcase performances by over 200 kids covering dance forms of world, BATA cultural team conducted practices in various locations.

The program highlights include:

Various community organization leaders & elected officials congratulated BATA team, for putting together a wonderful program and congratulations them in preserving our culture, heritage and traditions to the next generations.

President Volunteer service Awards (PVSA) were conferred to young volunteers who volunteered over the last year. It is a national award created by the White House to recognize valuable contributions.

Kondal Komaragiri (President) thanked all the BATA volunteers for their hard work and for making the event a grand success.
He introduced the BATA executive committee - Siva Kada, Varun Mukka & Hari Sannidhi.
“Steering Committee” consisting of Ravi Thiruveedula, Kamesh Malla, Yashwant Kudaravalli & Sumanth Pusuluri.
“Cultural Committee” includes Sridevi Pasupuleti, Srilu Veligeti  Sirisha Battula & Taraka Deepti.
“Logistics Team” includes Sandeep KedariSetty, Suresh Sivapuram & Ravi Pochiraju.
Youth Committee – Sanketh, Uday, Adi, Gowthami, Sandeep & Harish

Arts & Design committee – Kalyani, Deepthi, Krishna Priya & Shravanti.

BATA “Advisory Board” Jayaram Komati, Vijaya Aasuri, Veeru Vuppala, Prasad Mangina, Karun Veligeti, Ramesh Konda, Kalyan Kattamuri  & Harinath Chikoti congratulated the team in making the event a grand success & also the band members for an exhilarating and entertaining evening filled with fun, mazaa & masti !!!

BATA committee thanked and recognized the sponsors on the stage for their continued support.

TANA committee members Venkat Koganti, Srinivas and others attended the event.

Paatasala team was recognized on this occasion; Paatasala is an initiative by BATA, TANA & Telugu Times to promote and teach Telugu language; the teachers & coordinators were introduced.
