INOX Group to explore solar and wind power production in Telangana
In an effort towards transforming Telangana’s CURE (Core Urban Region Economy) into a Net Zero, services sector-only metropolis, the Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy-led ‘Telangana Rising’ delegation exchanged views with Devansh Jain, Director of Indian conglomerate INOX Group, during the WEF 2026. They deliberated on opportunities for cooperation in advanced and sustainable manufacturing, including solar modules.
Outlining the state’s plans to transition its industrial sector energy needs into clean electricity and green hydrogen, the Hon’ble Minister D. Sridhar Babu said the aim is to meet the huge demand for renewable power for datacenters. “Telangana is attracting massive number of datacenters.”
INOX Group, a major Indian conglomerate with a legacy over 90 years, is diversified across industrial gases, cryogenics, chemicals, renewable energy, and entertainment (PVR INOX). The company is planning to produce solar and wind power in Telangana and then diversify into manufacturing.

The Minister highlighted the various benefits manufacturers are offered under the new Telangana energy policy — including the preferred procurement policy for local manufacturers. he added that Telangana is way ahead of other Indian states in terms of industrial growth thanks to policy continuity since the 1990s. “To take this forward, we are undergoing a major infra push – with the CURE PURE RARE framework for regional industrial growth under the Telangana Rising 2047 vision.” This strategy is set to propel the biggest economic growth engine for India, he added.
Hon’ble Minister for Revenue & Housing Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy also attended the meeting.
