CM Revanth Reddy invites PM Modi to Telangana Rising Global Summit 2047
Honourable Chief Minister Shri A Revanth Reddy invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and global investors to attend the Telangana Rising Global Summit -2047 at the prestigious Bharat Future City on December 8 and 9.
Participating in the inauguration of LEAP engine MRO and foundation stone laying of M88 MRO at GMR Aeropark in Hyderabad today , the Chief Minister said that the State Government will unveil roadmap for Telangana development and growth sectors in the vision document. ” We are building a Bharat Future City, spread over 30,000 acres of land. The Future City is a green, net zero and India’s answer to New York, Tokyo, Dubai or Singapore. I am requesting the Prime Minister , who also participated in the programme online , and investors to attend the global summit”.
Further, the CM appealed to the Prime Minister to declare ” Bangalore- Hyderabad” as Defence and Aerospace corridor, contributing to Viksit Bharat. Stating that Telangana’s industrial and MSME policies ranked the best in the country, CM Revanth Reddy said that Hyderabad has already emerged as a major Aerospace and Defence Hub of India with over 25 major global companies and more than 1,500 MSMEs established their units.
“Our world-class infrastructure and dedicated aerospace parks and SEZs have attracted several mega investments from leading global companies. We are now the top choice for highly complex precision engineering projects. Safran, Boeing, Airbus, Tata, Bharat Forge etc also established manufacturing and R&D units in Hyderabad.” The CM said that exports in aerospace and defence doubled last year, reaching Rs 30,742 crore in 9 months, overtaking our Pharma exports for first time. “Telangana consistently wins Best Award for Aerospace from Ministry of Civil Aviation and Hyderabad is globally ranked No 1 in Cost effectiveness by Financial Times rankings for Aerospace cities of future”.
Welcoming PM Modi for participating in the landmark event and congratulating Safran for selecting Hyderabad for big investments , CM Revanth Reddy said that this new facility marks an important milestone for Telangana’s growth in aerospace and defence.
It is the first-ever Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) center for LEAP engines in India. The new facility with an investment of Rs. 1,300 crore, will create over 1,000 skilled technicians and engineers jobs and also new business opportunities for our local MSMEs, and precision engineering companies.
“We invite Safran to become a lead partner in aerospace and MRO skilling efforts. Telangana will continue to support partners like Safran, provide world-class infrastructure, and encourage the aerospace and defence sector”.
The CM highlighted that the new Safran’s M88 Military Engine MRO will support the Indian Air Force and Indian Navy. Hyderabad is already one of the leading MRO and Aero Engine hubs in India. Considering the skilled manpower is important to attract huge investments in Aerospace, CM Revanth Reddy said that 100 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) were already upgraded as Advanced Technology Centers ( ATCs) , in partnership with Tata Technologies and offering job ready skill training to youth in advanced manufacturing. The Young India Skills University was also focusing on specialized training for aircraft maintenance. ”
The Civilian Aero Engine MRO for LEAP Engines in Hyderabad is the first ever such facility in India owned by Safron Aircraft Engine Services India. This is the largest LEAP Engine MRO in Safron’s global network and the first of its kind by a global company in India. LEAP engine powers the airbus A320neo and Going 737 MAX and are used widely by Indian airlines for their great fuel efficiency and reliability. The new facility has invested Rs 1300 crore spanning 44,000 square meters .
Military Engine MRO for Rafale in Hyderabad : It is the first such facility for Rafale engines outside France. The MRO will support the Indian Airforce and Indian Navy’s fast growing Rafale fleet. The facility with an investment of Rs 450 crore will cover 5000 square meters which employ 150 skilled technicians and 600 indirect staff. The work will start in early 2026. These projects set new benchmarks for Make In India in aerospace and defence.
