The monsoon session of Parliament begins today. In this backdrop, both the ruling party and the opposition are ready with their strategies and counter-strategies. The Union Government is moving forward with the goal of passing 5 new bills. The Modi government is determined to get key bills passed toward economic and judicial reforms. On the other hand, the opposition is aiming to corner the government.
This is the Strategy Followed by the Government…
Even if the opposition puts them in a tight spot or blocks the bills, the Modi government has decided to move forward with a plan. The government has focused on MPs who rebelled against their respective parties and came out. It is engaged in gathering their support. 20 MPs who exited the Trinamool Congress have joined the National Citizens Party of India. That party is now supporting the NDA.
On the other hand, trouble has also brewed in Maharashtra’s Shiv Sena (UBT). Six MPs have joined the NDA coalition. The Lok Sabha Speaker has also officially given them affiliated recognition. Along with them, seven Rajya Sabha members from the AAP party have joined the BJP. With this, the NDA has secured the required magic figure for the passage of these constitutional amendment bills. The government intends to get the bills passed through these MPs.
