TCA Bathukamma 2023 was celebrated in Sunnyvale on October 15th and in San Ramon on October 22nd. In Sunnyvale, the event was held at Ponderosa Elementary School, not the usual Ortega Park. Lunch was provided for all participants, and arrangements were made for light snacks and Hyderabadi Irani Chai in the afternoon.

The event was a resounding success, with around 800 girls participating in the celebration. Attendees expressed their joy and felt a strong sense of community, immersing themselves in Telangana culture. Traditional Bathukamma and Telangana folk songs were performed, adding to the cultural experience. Children played happily, and the atmosphere was filled with laughter and smiles.

The TCA Executive team, Core group, and Volunteers expressed their gratitude to all participants for embracing the event, making new friends, and cherishing Telangana culture. They emphasized how TCA feels like a family to all attendees.

Dignitaries including Mrs. Prathima Srikar garu, David Hudson (Mayor, San Ramon), Sridhar Verose (Council member, San Ramon), and Marisol Rubio (Council member, San Ramon) graced the events. TCA extended special thanks and honored them.

The TCA team acknowledged Gopi and the TCA Sunnyvale core team for their exceptional efforts in handling venue changes and last-minute adjustments. They took pride in making the event distinctive and memorable.

In San Ramon, Bathukamma was celebrated at Dougherty Valley High School on October 22nd. Men were encouraged to assist with household chores, allowing the women to participate more fully in the festivities.

The event thanked various contributors, including volunteers who procured flowers, and a dedicated volunteer named Siri who has been involved for over a decade. Sponsors, food vendors, volunteers, and all who supported the event were recognized.

The ‘Lakshmi Laddu’ from an auction at the AIA Dushehra Diwali event was shared, symbolizing wishes for health, wealth, peace, and happiness.

Participants praised the seamless organization, high standards, and remarkable results of the event. Both current and past executive teams were lauded for their collaborative efforts.

The sponsors and media partners were acknowledged for their pivotal role in the event’s success. Overall, the celebration fostered a strong sense of community and cultural appreciation among the participants, all of whom commended the hard work and dedication of the organizing team.
