On Saturday, November 2nd, Suvidha International Foundation hosted a grand Diwali celebration at the iconic Pre Rodeo Stadium in Folsom—the same venue that traditionally hosts the July 4th aerial fireworks display. The event was a spectacular blend of tradition, music, and community spirit, highlighted by a "safe and sane" fireworks display that added to the festive joy without compromising safety.

Live performances from the talented Gongora music group, featuring Mr. Abdul Shaik, Mr. Srinkanth, Mrs. Priya, Mrs. Anitha, and Mrs. Madhurima, elevated the event. The emcees kept the crowd entertained, and the venue was beautifully adorned with vibrant LED decorations, providing a stunning backdrop that perfectly captured the essence of Diwali.

The festival featured musical and cultural performances, along with various non-profit and business stalls, fostering community engagement and supporting local enterprises. Food lovers were treated to a variety of mouthwatering dishes from Ruchi Restaurant and Folsom Curry Pizza. The celebration was a harmonious blend of music, culture, and community, uniting people of all ages for a memorable experience.

Folsom City Council Member Y.K. Chalamcherla attended the Diwali celebration and warmly welcomed the attendees. In his address, he emphasized Diwali’s power to unite people, expressing his joy at seeing so many gathered for the occasion. He commended Suvidha International Foundation for hosting such a vibrant and successful event.

The Diwali celebrations in Folsom were a resounding success, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the lead organizers: Mr. Bhaskar Vempati (Founder and President of Suvidha International), Venu Acharya, Vandna Sharma, Bala Kodavatikanti, Vijay Bhaskar Jonnalagadda, Narsing, Shailesh Bhat, Padmapirya Maddy, and Avinash Maddy. The organizers expressed heartfelt thanks to the City of Folsom staff, guests, sponsors, performers, and volunteers for their unwavering support.

Mr. Bhaskar Vempati thanked City Council Member Y.K. Chalamcherla and City staff for their invaluable support, highlighting how their contributions fostered community spirit and promoted cultural celebrations.

Shreya, a high school volunteer, shared her henna designs at the event, adding a beautiful touch to the celebration. Her stall drew a lot of attention, contributing to the lively cultural atmosphere and fostering a sense of community.

Mr. Venu Acharya, one of our esteemed co-organizers, extended his heartfelt thanks to all those who made the Diwali Celebrations possible. He expressed his deepest gratitude to our generous sponsors, food vendors, businesses, and non-profit stalls, as well as the henna stall, for their invaluable contributions.

Our sponsors, including Reliance SuperMart, Ruchi Indian Cuisine, Key Business Solutions, Stratus Environmental Inc, The Home Shade, Folsom Curry Pizza, Shankar Pathy Realtor & Loan Officer, Curry Plaza Folsom, Nag Dondapati Realtor, Shashi Devaraju Realtor, Namaste Natomas, Swara Media, and Samba Ravuri Realtor, were crucial in making this celebration a resounding success. Mr. Acharya thanked them for their steadfast commitment to supporting the community.

Vandna Sharma, also a co-organizer of the event, expressed her appreciation to the Gongura Musical Group, Parai Musical Band, and our fantastic event emcees Avanti, Ananya, and Raghav for their engaging performances. She also acknowledged Bharath for capturing stunning photos, Vinday for recording videos, and Sriram for providing breathtaking drone footage of the event.

A special thank you went to the Suvidha International Foundation volunteers. Their dedication and tireless efforts played an instrumental role in the success of this celebration. Volunteers including Prasad Boadapati, Jithendra Byni, Sridhar Samineni, Jagan Yachavarapu, Ruma Baruah, Dhruba, Bala Jonnalagadda, Vinay, Prithvi, Harikiran, Deepak, Haritha, Lalita, and many others were at the heart of making this event unforgettable.
