ATA Celebrates Indian Culture and Local Talent in Leander School District
The American Telugu Association (ATA), in collaboration with Abhinaya School, hosted a vibrant cultural event at the Performing Arts Center of the Leander School District near Austin, Texas. The event showcased impressive performances by local children, youth, and adults, with around 150 participants engaging in approximately 30 different performances. Despite their busy school and professional lives, these individuals took the time to celebrate and embrace Indian culture. The event was attended by over 600 people.
The highlight of the event was a captivating 90-minute Kuchipudi classical dance drama performed by artists from Abhinaya School. The audience was completely spellbound by the performance.
The efforts of the ATA team were coordinated by Narsi Reddy Gaddikoppula, a Board of Trustee member, along with regional director Sangameshwar Reddy, regional coordinators, Anand Yaparla, Laxman Kaparthi, Vanoj Revuri, standing committee members Praveen Chakka, Sheetal Gampawar, Indira Vemu, Sailaja Komati, Pranani, Venkar Manthena, Rajasekhar Birikitollu, Ram Madireddy, Srinivas Vedere, Srinivas Gillipalli, and other ATA members. ATA President Jayanth Challa, who attended the event, expressed his gratitude to the organizers and performers. He reaffirmed ATA’s commitment to encouraging local talent and promoting diverse cultures and arts.
Additionally, there was a teaser for the upcoming 19th ATA conference in Baltimore, MD, scheduled for July 31 through August 2, 2026. The ATA President invited everyone to participate in the conference.
