AIA celebrates Naari (Women’s day event )!!

Consulate General of India (CGI SFO) in coordination with Association of Indo-Americans “AIA” celebrated the International Women’s Day at the Consulate in San Francisco.

This is to celebrate “Naari Shakti” and acknowledge women leaders in the community for their selfless service & making a difference.The theme for International Women’s Day 2025, “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment,” emphasizes the importance of achieving gender equality and empowering women and girls.

Consul General Dr.Srikar Reddy welcomed the participants and informed how India is witnessing a transition from Women’s development to women-led development. Distinguished women across diverse fields were recognized for their remarkable achievements, inspiring us all with their outstanding contributions. The event was attended by about 180 persons, including Attorney General RobBonta.

Pratima Reddy (From Indian Consulate SFO) was the chief guest, others included Assembly members Gail Pellerin, Mia Bonta, State Treasurer Fiona Maand members of the San Francisco Consular Corps, Association of Indo Americans (AIA) and Indian diaspora.

Highlights:
The Event was decorated with nice festive colors. Guests were pleasantly surprised to a high-quality program.Honored 40 + highly achieved Woman Leaders from various fields of expertise.
Chief Guest and Panel Speakers delivered an inspiring and informative message about their journey, challenges and their suggestions to the other women on how to overcome the obstacles.

Letters of Commendation were presented to AIA and Consul General of India by the elected officials.

The team thanked every individual involved, from the incredible ladies who brought unparalleled class and elegance to the occasion, to the remarkable gentlemen who steadfastly supported it through nominations, promotions, and taking care of the logistics, all played a pivotal role in its resounding triumph. This event stands as a testament to the power of exceptional teamwork and collaboration.
