AIA celebrates “Holi Fest” in a grand way in California

Association of Indo American’s (AIA), & Bolly 92.3 presented “Holi Fest” at very famous & picturesque San Jose Downtown (Discovery Meadow) CA. It was a unique festival, first of its kind and is supported by over 45 Indian organizations in Bay Area. Holi Fest was refreshingly endearing, visually stunning, and entertaining with lots of fun, mazaa & masti all around.

The event started at 11 AM and went all the way till 6 PM. It was attended by over 10,000 + people. Sanjiv Gupta CPA was the Grand sponsor, Powered by realtor Nagaraj Anniah, Travel partner Travelopod,  Mantra India & Chaat Bhavan (were Food Sponsors). Other sponsors include OnShore Kare, ICICI Bank, Astrologer Vishnu & NBC BayArea.

The event was graced by notable dignitaries including Chief Anthony Mata ( San Jose, Police Dept), Larry Klein (Mayor, Sunnyvale),  Murali Srinivas  (Vice Mayor, Sunnyvale) Lily Mei (Fremont Mayor), Raj Salwan (Vice Mayor, Fremont), Harish Kharbanda, Consulate General of India SFO office, Tom Pyke from Congressman Ro Khanna’s office, San Jose Council members Domingo Candelas, Arjun Batra, and Doan Bien. Tara Srikrishnan (SC Education Board),
Office Reps from the offices of –  Senator Dave Cortese, Assembly member Ash Kalra, Assembly member Alex Lee.

The dignitaries addressed the gathering and conveyed their “Holi” wishes. They applauded AIA efforts in preserving Indian culture. They mentioned they are happy to see the festivities and wondered if they were in India & congratulated the AIA team for making it a memorable event.

Many of the Dignitaries shared the pictures and inspiring messages on social media about their participation in the Holi event.

Over 45 community organizations representing all parts of India worked tirelessly to support AIA in making this event a grand success. AIA team also thanked all the sponsors for their continued support and the volunteers for their hard work and making the event a grand success.

The Association of Indo Americans (AIA) is a non-profit organization providing a forum to explore the rich and diverse heritage of the Indian American community living in the United States. The mission of AIA is to foster and promote cultural and social interactions among its members, facilitate cultural events and educational programs pertaining to the Indian subcontinent.
