MATA Michigan Hosts Grand Bonalu Celebrations 2026

MATA: The Mana American Telugu Association (MATA) Michigan chapter is set to host a vibrant celebration of the traditional Bonalu Jatara. With blessings from the Adhiparasakthi Sakthi Peetam & Spiritual Center, the event invites the community to come together for a day of cultural immersion and devotion.

Event Details:
Date & Time: Sunday, August 9, 2026, starting at 11:00 AM.

Venue: Sri Venkateswara Temple & Cultural Center, 26233 Taft Rd, Novi, MI 48374.

Admission: Entry is free, and traditional Prasadam will be served to all attendees.

Event Highlights:
The celebration will feature a variety of traditional activities, including:

A traditional Bonalu procession accompanied by Pothraju.

Ritualistic Bonam offerings to Mahakali Matha.

A special performance by the Shiledar Dhol Tasha Pathak from Maharashtra Mandal Detroit (MMD).

Kunkum Pooja and various cultural performances.
