During the interactions, Rajamouli also shared an exciting update on Varanasi. He revealed that the film has entered its final phase of production, with the major action blocks already completed. According to the director, only around 80 shooting days remain, indicating that the project is progressing as planned and will have ample time for post production.
The next schedule, which begins on July 7 in Hyderabad, is expected to be one of the film’s biggest. Reports suggest that Rajamouli will shoot a massive war sequence featuring nearly 3,500 junior artists, making it one of the largest set pieces in the film. The sequence will reportedly be enhanced with cutting-edge visual effects during post-production.
Mounted on a grand scale, Varanasi is currently on track for its worldwide theatrical release on April 7, 2027.
