“Gurram Paapireddy” will give complete entertainment to the audience as a different dark comedy: Faria Abdullah
Starring Naresh Agastya and Faria Abdullah as the lead pair, the film “Gurram Paapireddy” is being presented by Dr. Sandhya Goli and produced by Venu Saddi, Amar Bura, and Jayakanth (Bobby). Director Murali Manohar is bringing this film with a dark comedy storyline and a concept that has not been seen on screen before. “Gurram Paapireddy” is set for a worldwide grand theatrical release on the 19th of this month. In an interview held today, heroine Faria Abdullah spoke about the highlights of the film.
In “Gurram Paapireddy,” I am playing a character named Soudhamini. She works as a nurse and aspires to study medicine. During this phase, she comes across Gurram Paapireddy, who completely changes her life. Along with his gang, Soudhamini is forced to become part of a robbery. The film revolves around the conflict between intelligent people and not-so-intelligent people. Whether I belong to the intelligent group or the other group can be seen in the movie. Brahmanandam garu plays a judge in the film. We appear in court before him, going there in different getups, which is very entertaining. I have been getting opportunities mostly in entertaining films, and I really like this genre. That’s why I don’t reject such films. At the same time, I also want to do intense characters. I am doing an intense role in a movie called Bhagavanthudu. The shoot of that film is currently on hold. In that movie, I will be seen very differently as a village girl.
In “Gurram Paapireddy,” I will be seen in a variety of different getups. We shot these looks during the summer, and it used to take a lot of time to get ready with makeup. However, actors don’t often get chances to appear in such varied makeovers. Soudhamini cannot be compared to the Chitti character from Jathi Ratnalu. Both are completely different. Chitti is innocent, whereas Soudhamini is intelligent. I have thoughts about becoming a director in the future, so whenever I got time on this film’s set, I used to think about new concepts, scripts, and characters. Naresh Agastya is also a writer, so he supported me while I was developing my scripts.
Even though the producers are new, they made the film with great passion. They coordinated well with all the actors and ensured that everything required for the movie was provided. They are also promoting and distributing the film effectively so that it reaches the audience well. For this movie, I have done a special promotional song, which is being released. Music director Krishna Saurabh has given very good songs and background score. I went to his studio for the promotional song, and he is a very passionate technician.
I don’t have combination scenes with Brahmanandam garu in this film, but I worked alongside Yogi Babu in a major action sequence. Working with Naresh Agastya has been a happy experience. He is a good co-actor. When I first heard the script, I could already imagine how the fun and entertainment in “Gurram Paapireddy” would be. Our director brought it to the screen just as well. Director Murali Manohar has studied and worked abroad, and he has great passion for cinema. With that same passion, he has made the film very well.
The audience will definitely enjoy “Gurram Paapireddy.” We are going to watch the premieres today, and I am also eager to see what kind of response we get from them. Preparations are underway for Mathu Vadalara 3. Discussions are also happening for a few other interesting projects. I am doing a Tamil film with Sandeep Kishan, which will release next year. I am also playing an important role in a movie titled Gayapadda Simham, which has a very strong script. I am also planning to do private albums.
I wish to do films in all kinds of genres. I want to do dark films such as action roles and even serial killer characters. Heroines don’t always have to just look beautiful; action films can also be very exciting. I don’t regret not getting roles with the same kind of impact after Jathi Ratnalu. Once I finish a film, I detach myself from that project immediately. I consider that ability to move on as my good fortune.
