Mahindra Launches XUV 3XO ZNG Starting at ₹9.99 Lakh with Turbocharged CNG Performance

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has launched the XUV 3XO ZNG, marking its entry into the mainstream CNG passenger vehicle segment with a starting price of ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Powered by a 1.2-litre mStallion TCMPFi turbocharged engine, the vehicle delivers 82 kW of power and a category-leading 200 Nm of torque across both CNG and petrol modes. Key performance highlights include:

Acceleration: Sprints from 0 to 60 km/h in just 4.9 seconds and 0 to 100 km/h in 11.8 seconds in CNG mode.

Advanced CNG Tech: Features a first-in-segment 10-bar CNG injection pressure system for optimal efficiency and throttle response.

Fuel Efficiency: Delivers a certified efficiency of 24.7 km/kg, combining low operating costs with turbo performance.

Smart Packaging and Practical Boot Space:
Addressing traditional limitations of CNG vehicles regarding luggage capacity, the XUV 3XO ZNG utilizes an intelligent underfloor twin-cylinder packaging system. This layout preserves a completely flat loading floor and 270 litres of usable boot space, while the spare wheel is neatly mounted underneath the body. The vehicle also features seamless multi-fuel flexibility, automatic fuel switching when CNG runs low, NGV fast-filling valves, and real-time average/instantaneous fuel economy displays.

Premium Features and Comprehensive Safety:
Even from the entry-level variant, the XUV 3XO ZNG is packed with modern technology and comfort amenities, including a 26.03 cm HD touchscreen (dual 26.03 cm screens on higher trims), cruise control, rear AC vents, 60:40 split rear seats, Skyroof™, Dolby Atmos audio, black leatherette upholstery, and R16 painted black alloy wheels.

On the safety front, building upon the parent XUV 3XO’s 5-star Bharat-NCAP rating for both adult and child occupant protection, the ZNG variant offers six airbags as standard, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and ISOFIX child-seat mounts. It also incorporates dedicated CNG safety features, including an integrated gas-leak detection system that automatically switches the vehicle to gasoline mode if a leak is identified.
