JSW MG Motor India Named Title Sponsor for Indian Super League 2026-27 Season
The Indian Super League (ISL) has officially announced a landmark partnership with JSW MG Motor India as the Title Sponsor for the 2026-27 season, marking the return of a title sponsor to India’s premier football league after three seasons. Officially named the MG Indian Super League, the collaboration kicks off as the competition enters a new club-led commercial era focused on accessibility, fan engagement, and building a sustainable football ecosystem. The upcoming season is scheduled to begin on October 10, 2026, opening with high-octane fixtures as Bengaluru FC hosts Sporting Club Delhi at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, and FC Goa faces Chennaiyin FC at the Fatorda Stadium in Goa under a full home-and-away format.
Leadership Perspectives on the Partnership:
Highlighting the significance of the collaboration, Karan Yadav, CEO of the Indian Super League, noted that securing a title sponsor after three seasons reflects strong corporate belief in the future of Indian football as the league transitions into a club-led model. Echoing this enthusiasm, Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer at JSW MG Motor India, stated that the partnership is a natural progression of the brand’s longstanding commitment to sports. MG’s rich sporting heritage includes global partnerships with Liverpool FC and Arsenal, grassroots community programs like supporting the Patan Girls in Gujarat, and backing elite Indian athletes such as golfer Tvesa Malik and paralympians Bhavina and Deepa Malik.
New Era of Football Engagement:
The partnership aims to leverage football’s unifying power to connect deeply with India’s rising generation of sports enthusiasts. With MG coming on board, the league receives a refreshed commercial identity just in time for the 2026-27 campaign, promising elevated fan experiences, wider national reach, and a robust platform to accelerate the growth and popularity of football across the country.
