Day 3 of Chief Minister’s US Visit

The Chief Minister on day three of his visit to USA is meeting  high end technology enterpreneurs and Indian CEOs now. The who's who of the Indian business and tech leaders are present in the meeting.  Mr. Arun Kumar who was with Obama administration for three years is chairing the session. He is known to be very influential in American business and administration.

From San Fransico, the Chief Minister left for Dallas to take part in a couple of meetings and also to attend the NRT community Dinner. The Telugu diaspora living there extended a grand reception at the airport and the Chief Minister later drove to the meeting venue. He held his first meeting with Mr. Srikanth Satya from Dell. Dell has expressed interest to set up a data centre in Amaravati.  Later the Chief Minister held a meeting with the director of Bell Helicopters. The director discussed the possibilities of establishing a manufacturing facilities in Andhra Pradesh. In reply, the Chief Minister invited him to come to Andhra Pradesh and start the dialogue with the officials immediately. The Chief Minister from the meeting venue drove down to the Gandhi Statue in Dallas where he garlanded Gandhiji and paid respects.

A total of 25 companies have come forward to start their operations in Andhra Pradesh. These IT service companies will lease space in Amaravati and Vizag to start off with. As many as 310 people would be benefited in Vizag and 64 people in Amaravati once these get grounded. The Chief Minister in his address to these companies said that he is happy to see all the telugus settled here as entrepreneurs. He said that most of the people who are now in US came with an idea to be professionals and now they have become entrepreneurs. He urged to the Telugus to mingle with the local communities and earn their confidence. Besides complimenting them for their active participation in smart village smart ward programme , the Chief Minister requested them to not to forget their birthplace and their native vilage. The Chief Minister called upon the telugus to participate in the development of the State. He said that the skills and knowledge acquired by the Telugus here will be very useful for the development of Andhra Pradesh. The Chief Minister has asked them to start their operations in Andhra Pradesh initially and expand to others parts of Indian later. I want Indians to be in the forefront in the world and among them Telugus should be in the forefront, that’s my dream, the Chief Minister said. he concluded by urging them to continue their commitment to service.

The Chief Minister just concluded his address to the NRT community at Irving Convention Centre in Dallas.
