Sri City honours local youth for winning Archery Medal at International Competition

Tirumuru Ganesh Mani Ratnam (17), hailing from Naidupeta, who won the silver medal in the under-18 group category at the world archery competition, held in Ireland was felicitated in Sri City on Thursday. AP Vigilance & Enforcement Director General Dr. A. Ravi Shankar, IPS in the presence of other police officers, honoured the archery winner, and presented Sri City’s cash prize. Sri City MD Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy praised Ganesh’s sporting prowess on this occasion, and wished him to bring an Olympic medal to India. He said that it is a proud achievement for the state, as most of the archery medal winners are from North and North Eastern parts of India. He appreciated Ganesh’s father  Hariprasad for encouraging his talents.
