Sri City Celebrates Vaikuntha Ekadasi with Spiritual Bliss

Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy temple in Sri City witnessed a throng of devotees on Saturday as they celebrated Vaikuntha Ekadasi with unparalleled devotion. The auspicious occasion commenced with special rituals as part of Dhanurmasam, culminating in the blissful Uttara Dwara darshan of the Lord in the early hours.
Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director of Sri City, along with his family actively participated in the poojas, setting an inspiring example for the Sri City community. Vedic scholars meticulously performed Sankalpam and special poojas, including Suprabhaata Seva and Tiruppaavai recitals, filling the temple with divine melody.
Srivani, Sri City’s Spiritual and Literary Forum, further enriched the celebrations with a Harikatha ganam and traditional bhajana sankirtana. Renowned Bhagavatar Omti Ravi from Putturu captivated the audience with his enthralling Harikatha on Ambarisha Charitra, seamlessly weaving storytelling, poetry, music, dance, and philosophy. He was supported by T. Subramanyam (Tabala) and Ramana Kumar (Keboard). In the evening, members of the Tiru Venkata Ramanuja Bhakta Samajam of the neighbouring villages performed bhajanas.
Expressing happiness at the grand culmination of the event, Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy lauded the active participation of devotees in large numbers. He warmly encouraged the Sri City community to visit the temple and seek blessings from the Lord.
Mr. P. Sankara Reddy, Former IFS officer took part in the event. The ceremony resonated with the spirit of inclusivity, drawing attendees not only from Sri City but also from Aruru, Aruru Kandriga, Mallavaripalem West, and other surrounding villages, as well as Sullurupeta. All devotees enjoyed teertha prasadam and anna prasadam, which left them with cherished memories and a sense of spiritual rejuvenation.
