AP Sports Minister Mandipalli Ram Prasad Reddy Launches Elite Cricket League
With the objective of promoting sports among youth across Andhra Pradesh, the Chamala Foundation’s Elite Cricket League (ECL) – Season 2 has been receiving an overwhelming response statewide. Following the successful conduct of earlier matches at LB Stadium, the league is now gearing up for its grand second season.
The ECL Season 2 Jersey Launch Event was held in the presence of several eminent personalities from different fields. The participation of Andhra Pradesh Sports Minister Shri Mandipalli Ram Prasad Reddy added great momentum and significance to the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister appreciated the Chamala Foundation for its commendable social initiatives, including awareness programs to curb drug abuse among youth, support for families of farmers who died by suicide, and assistance to the families of brave soldiers from the two Telugu states who sacrificed their lives for the nation. He stated that organizing a sports league like ECL while linking it to social responsibility reflects the visionary leadership of ECL Chairman Uday Chandar Reddy.
The Minister expressed confidence that the Elite Cricket League Season 2, scheduled to be held on February 21 and 22, 2026, in Visakhapatnam, with international standards and grandeur, will bring new energy to the sports ecosystem of Andhra Pradesh.
It was also announced that the prize money from previous editions was dedicated to the families of martyrs who laid down their lives for the country, further highlighting the league’s strong commitment to social causes.

The presence of prominent personalities, young sportspersons, and enthusiastic supporters made the jersey launch event a grand success.
Organizers reiterated that the core aim of the Elite Cricket League is to guide youth towards a positive and disciplined path through sports and requested continued public support for the social service initiatives undertaken by the Chamala Foundation.
