Prime Minister Modi Calls to Celebrate Independence Day with Great Pride
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called upon the public to celebrate Independence Day with honor and to showcase the nation’s great pride. To this end, he posted a video message on Instagram on Tuesday.
“Let us pay tribute to our freedom fighters. Let us pledge towards India’s development. Let us unfurl the tricolor flag in every household and install the tricolor in every heart. Bharat Mata Ki Jai… Vande Mataram,” he chanted three times in the message. Attached to his post was a video from the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting held on Tuesday morning at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium on the Parliament premises. As he arrived at the meeting, Union Ministers and NDA MPs welcomed him by waving the tricolor flag and chanting slogans of “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” PM Modi also walked past the MPs, holding and waving the tricolor. The NDA Parliamentary Party routinely holds a weekly “Mangal Milan” meeting during parliamentary sessions.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Modi urged citizens to actively participate in the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign organized on the occasion of Independence Day. He requested everyone to proudly hoist the tricolor flag on their homes on August 15 and pay homage to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence. He instilled national spirit and inspiration among citizens with the chant, “Har Ghar Tiranga… Ghar Ghar Tiranga… Har Man Tiranga.” The Prime Minister revealed that this year’s “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign holds special significance, as it is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of “Vande Mataram.” He urged people to organize these celebrations to demonstrate patriotism, respect for the tricolor, and love for the motherland.
