Posts Defaming PM Modi: Cases Registered Against Meta India Head

Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police have registered cases regarding the propagation of objectionable and morphed videos and images targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi on social media platforms. Cases have been filed against Meta India Head Arun Srinivas, as well as several Facebook and Instagram accounts.

The police registered the cases following a complaint lodged by a BJP social media representative. Consequently, cases were booked against Instagram and Facebook operators, alongside the Meta India Head. The primary objections pertain to content published targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the “Cockroach Janata Party” protests held at Jantar Mantar.

According to the complaint, the content includes morphed scenes depicting PM Modi and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in a vulgar manner, as well as a morphed image of US President Donald Trump. The complaint stated that the content appears to have been digitally morphed or created using Artificial Intelligence (AI) before being circulated on social media.
