PM Modi Changes Track… Using Reels as the Medium…
The Gen Z movement has kicked off in the country, with social media playing a prominent role in it. Consequently, political leaders have also become alert. Prime Minister Modi—who is always at the forefront of adopting new technology—is now utilizing it even more extensively. Whatever he wants to communicate, he delivers via video messages. Since the protests began at Jantar Mantar, PM Modi has released four videos to convey his message, addressing the audience warmly as “Friends.” Since then, short videos have become his primary mode of communication.
Recently, PM Modi took the same approach. On the occasion of National Handloom Day, he released a video message specifically targeting the youth. Posting a new Instagram Reel, he urged young Indians to celebrate National Handloom Day by creating “Get Ready With Me” (GRWM) videos featuring handloom attire. He stated that this trend would help showcase India’s rich weaving heritage and support artisan families.
He requested young people to post short videos on social media wearing handloom garments, which would introduce Indian handloom traditions to the world while financially benefiting weavers and small vendors. In his video message, he also mentioned that on August 7, 1905, Indians launched the Swadeshi Movement against British rule.
