Hafiz Saeed Hand in Pahalgam Terror Attack: NIA Chargesheet

The NIA, which is investigating the Pahalgam terror attack, has recently filed a supplementary chargesheet related to this case. It has filed this supplementary chargesheet with several allegations against Hafiz Saeed, the chief of the Pakistan-sponsored terror outfit LeT and a most-wanted Islamic terror leader. The NIA has named Saeed as an accused not only in his personal capacity but also as the head of ‘The Resistance Front’ (TRF), a proxy organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba.

The NIA stated that a case has been registered under the UAPA Act as well as various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The NIA has also registered cases against Pakistan-sponsored terror outfits LeT and TRF. It mentioned that these terror organizations were behind the planning and funding of the Pahalgam terror attack.

The NIA presented scientific and field-level evidence to the court exposing Pakistan’s conspiracies in nurturing and fostering terrorism from across the border, along with Hafiz Saeed’s role in this case. Cases have been registered against Hafiz Saeed under BNS 2023 along with several stringent sections of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1967 (UAPA). In the chargesheet, the NIA leveled severe allegations against him, including waging war against India and orchestrating strategic conspiracies for terror attacks from across the border.
