“For Hon’ble CM, Sri Revanth Reddy garu, Education is priority and youth is his focus. Telangana Govt mission is to provide Internet and digital classrooms to all Govt schools so that the educational standards especially in rural villages will substantially improve. T Fiber, one of the TG Govt units under Ministry of IT & C is working on digitising 26000+ Govt schools in the State” said Mr Venu Prasad Panneru, MD, T Fiber in an informal meeting with few NRIs in FalconX, Milpitas, CA. Mr Venu Prasad also said that Govt has spent over Rs 3500 cr in providing the infra structure like laying fiber network lines end to end in the state and making nearly 8000 Villages already internet connected. Hence Govt is seeking the help and support of Corporates , NGOs, NRIs to provide Internet and virtual classroom facilities in the schools. Mr Venu Prasad also explained that a service company, Equippp, is partnered with T Fiber in doing this exercise which already developed the necessary online structure with completer details of 26000 + schools and urged NRIs to come forward and support the initiative.

Mr JP Vegendla, CEO, Forsys Inc welcomed T Fiber’s Initiative and assured that California itself will assist for 1000 schools because donating $250 per year or $850 per 5 years to a school will not be big task especially for this kind of a noble cause in education sector. Mrs Vijaya Aasuri, Community leader also said that Bay area has several groups and if proper initial promotional material support and subsequent coordination from T Fiber comes, all will support. Mr Mahender Gudur, Telangana Development Forum said that they have already started a similar kind of support on a pilot project in Yadadri district and assured their support to this initiative. Mr Venkat Koganti, Joint Secretary, TANA and Mr Hari Gakkina, Past President, IT Serve- Bay Area Chapter, Mr Subba Row Chennuri, Editor & CEO, Telugu Times also assured to support the project for raising funds for the initial 1000 schools. Dr Ramesh Konda, from FalconX , Mr Sai Kiran from EQUIPPP coordinated the Meeting.
