TAL Christmas Celebrations 2023

The Telugu Association of London (TAL), the leading Telugu community organization in the UK, brought joy and cheer to over 300 members of the Telugu community with its annual Christmas celebrations held on December 16, 2023, at Pilgrim’s Way Church in Eastham. The event was a resounding success, showcasing the vibrant traditions and spirit of the Telugu community while fostering a sense of unity and togetherness during the festive season.
TAL’s Christmas celebrations were enriched by the involvement of ten churches, including Bethelministries Telugu Church, Eastham Baptist Church, The Lighthouse Fellowship, Manor Park Church, Vision Ministries Church, Praise Harvest, and others. This collaborative spirit exemplified the Organization’s commitment to fostering interfaith harmony and celebrating the diverse cultural tapestry of the Telugu community.
The celebrations kicked off with a heartwarming performance by children, who delighted the audience with special Christmas carols and a captivating skit portraying the birth of Jesus Christ. The skit, performed entirely in Telugu, marked a unique highlight in TAL’s Christmas celebrations, demonstrating the organization’s dedication to preserving and promoting Telugu culture.
Following the captivating performance, Rev Salomi Sukhesh delivered a powerful Christmas address, emphasizing the importance of sharing God’s love and celebrating the true meaning of the season. Pastor Daniel and Brother offered prayers and shared inspiring messages that resonated deeply with the attendees. Praveen Manikonda led the worship session with his soulful renditions of Christmas carols and devotional songs.
TAL Chairman Ravi Sabba expressed warm Christmas greetings to the community, extending appreciation to the organizers – Ravi Mocherla, Jemima Dara, Ratnakar Dara, and their team – for their dedication and hard work in putting together the event. TAL trustees Kiran Kappeta, Anil Ananthula, Ravi Kumar Reddy Mocherla, Venkat Neela, Sreedevi Aleddula, Ashok Madishetti echoed Sabba’s sentiments, highlighting TAL’s unwavering commitment to uniting, cherishing, and sharing Telugu culture with people from all walks of life.
Speaking on the occasion, Anil Ananthula cordially invites the community to actively participate in TAL’s year around sporting and cultural events. In a delightful surprise, a group of children dressed up as Santa Clauses and brought joy and excitement to the event by presenting gifts to all the attendees. This heartwarming gesture further enhanced the festive spirit and spread cheer among the young and old.
The celebrations concluded with a delectable dinner, providing a delightful opportunity for everyone to savor the flavors of the season and strengthen their connections within the Telugu community.
