Telugu Badi Returns Empowering Our Children with Language and Culture
TAJA: The Telugu Association of Jacksonville Area (TAJA) is excited to announce the restart of its “Telugu Badi” program, as previously shared during this year’s Sankranti celebrations. The primary objective of this initiative is to provide free instruction in the Telugu mother tongue to children, helping them develop fundamental skills in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding both the language and culture.
The classes are set to begin on July 11 and will be held every Sunday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Shirdi Sai Baba temple premises. TAJA is currently inviting volunteers who have a passion for the Telugu language to join as teachers; those interested should provide their details by June 27th.
The organization emphasizes the importance of collective participation in helping children connect with their roots. Preparations for student admissions are currently underway, with official details expected to be announced on July 4th. TAJA encourages the community to contribute in various ways, including teaching assistance, event management, promotional support, and other volunteer services to ensure the success of this program.
