”Nilave Is Nothing Short of a Big Film,” Say Directors Sowmith Rao & Sai Vennam

A group of passionate nobodies, with an extreme love towards films, is bringing the biggest musical drama of Telugu cinema, Nilave. Directed by Sowmith Rao and Sai Vennam, Nilave stars Sowmith Rao and Shreyansi Sen in lead roles. Sai Vennam and Giridhar Rao Poladi bankrolled this soulful project under the banner POV Arts Production, in association with Taher Cine Tecq.

The recently released teaser got a terrific response from the viewers and raised anticipation for this small but honest piece of art. Recently, Nilave’s team held a press meet, revealing more details about the film and their passion towards it.

One of the directors, Sai Vennam, said that Nilave is nothing short of a big film. He said, “I hope you all like the content, like we told you. It’s been a long journey. This is nothing short of a big film you see. We are a small team, but we had a big idea and executed it, as you have seen. The visuals and concept of this movie will be nothing short of any big movie you’ve seen. Telugu filmmakers always dream big. Nilave is also such a big idea. It’s a love story. The story deals with the journey of a lonely person who finds magical love. Nilave is special because we tried to weave a story with music. It came out really well, and we are very confident. I feel honest films will always work. Even Nilave is honest and big at heart. Telugu films, bigger films, and how well they are doing, are our inspiration. If we can contribute to that and make them proud, that will be our success.”

Lead actor-director Sowmith Rao said that Nilave will definitely surprise the audience. He said, “Nilave is the biggest musical romantic drama from a bunch of nobodies like me. We started the film with honest intentions. We may promote our film like everyone else by saying that we worked hard and brought sensational visuals, but we want our content to speak. Audiences should feel that our content resonates with them. We don’t want to rule Telugu cinema but want to be a small part of its growth. Our film will definitely surprise you.”

Music director Kalyan Nayak said, “I have been very selective in my choices since the beginning of my career. When this film came to me, I had no work to showcase. I only had big dreams. We scored this music with such raw and big dreams. We don’t want to brag about our film, but I can say it is an honest attempt that will make you feel and involve you in its content. I just want to tell you to please have a look at us. We will definitely make you come to the theatres. Please support us and remember that you are supporting something sensational.”

DOP Dileep K Kumar said, “When Sai and Sowmith narrated the story to me, I felt the genuineness of their passion. Their madness towards cinema made me do this film. I tried my best, and hopefully, you will like the film too.”

Lyricist M.V.S Bharadwaj said, “Sowmith and I used to do short films with two cameras in the past. We have had this idea in our minds since those days. Our dream was to showcase this idea as a film to everyone. We don’t have a big budget, cast, or crew, but we have a big dream, passion, and honesty. I feel everyone who watches the film will feel that passion.”

Additional lyricist Koti said, “I feel a bit nervous as this is the first time I’m speaking on this stage. Right from the beginning, the working style of Sai and Sowmith excited me. They excite me with their ideas every single time we meet.”

Nilave features an ensemble of talented cast, including Harsha Chemudu, Supriya Aysola, Rupesh Marrapu, Jeevan Kumar, Gururaj, Siddarth Gollapudi, Anala Susmitha, and others.

It also boasts a skilful, passionate crew, including Venkat Konakandla and Sanjana Krishna as co-producers; Anvesh Perati and Ajay Kumar Puppala as Production Executives; and Sunanda Aithani and Sushrith Devi as the Line Producers. Satyaa G is serving as the editor, and Arjun Singh handled the costume design. Katta Siva Rama Krishna and Jiya Ghosh served as production designers. Naidu Surendra Kumar is working as the PRO of the film.
