Chennai World Cinema Festival – 1st to 3rd September 2023

Chennai World Cinema Festival is being conducted in Chennai on 1st, 2nd and 3rd September 2023 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) at Devi Karumari theatre in virugambakkam. A press meet was conducted  in Chennai to announce the launch of the film festival. The organisers of the festival World Cinema Bhaskaran, director Rasi Alagappan and Senthil Kumaran Shanmugam participated in the press meet. World cinema Bhaskaran in his address mentioned “We have scheduled 15 feature films for screening. In memory of the father of the Tamil cinema Nataraja Mudhaliar, a silent film Adavi, directed by velmurugan periyavan will be screened. Various films selected under different categories will also be screened during the festival. The categories include vintage Tamil world cinema, Tamil festival version films, children films. Some select films by Kalaignar Karunanidhi will also be screened as part of the Kalaignar Centenary celebrations.
