Animation Movie “Kiki & Koko” Teaser Released
The global craze for Hollywood animation films is immense. Just like films of any other genre, animation movies also receive equal importance and appreciation. In recent times, Indian animation films have also started making a strong impact. It is well known that the animated film “Maha Avatar Narasimha”, released in July this year, impressed both children and adults alike and emerged as a grand success with record-breaking collections.
Now, another heart-touching Indian animation film titled “Kiki & Koko” is taking shape. Designed to appeal to children as well as adults who have a childlike heart, “Kiki & Koko” is being presented by Inika Studios. The film is produced by Dharani and directed by P. Narayanan. Child artiste Srinika plays the character of Koko, while Meena Chabria serves as the CEO.
Currently under production, the animated movie “Kiki & Koko” will soon be released in theatres as well as on OTT platforms in nine languages. Along with all Indian languages, the film is also set for release in several international languages worldwide.
On this occasion, the teaser of the film was launched at a press meet held today at Prasads Preview Theatre, Hyderabad, where the film team shared highlights of the movie.
Speaking at the event, child artiste Srinika said:
“I played the character of Koko in ‘Kiki & Koko’. In the movie, Kiki is my best friend. I really wish I had a friend like that in real life. I love animation movies a lot, and acting in ‘Kiki & Koko’ made me very happy. When I grow up, I want to become a good actor.”
Creative Director Gokul Raj Bhaskar said:
“I have been working in the Malayalam animation industry for the past 20 years. Animation films usually focus heavily on fantasy. However, through ‘Kiki & Koko’, we are not showing fantasy but reality to children. Through our art, we aim to convey all the emotions of real life to kids. We are happy to introduce ‘Kiki & Koko’ to Telugu audiences who truly love cinema. This is not just an introduction to the film, but an attempt to introduce emotions through its characters.”
Director P. Narayanan stated:
“Unfortunately, children today are getting influenced by violence. Animation films often showcase fantasy characters like Spider-Man and Superman. Whether Wonder Woman actually exists or not, only God knows. Through ‘Kiki & Koko’, we want to show children the reality of life. Loving oneself, respecting elders, saying sorry when one makes a mistake, expressing gratitude when helped, and helping others with whatever we have—these are the good habits we want to introduce to children. Change should begin with us. By blending humanity and realism, the film promotes values such as doing good, being good, and living with humility. ‘Kiki & Koko’ is an edutainment film that combines entertainment with education. We want children to learn the values of sharing and caring. The film has strong content, and we are also considering developing it as a series.”
CEO Meena Chabria said:
“I love movies. In Telugu cinema, if you wait for a particular hero’s film, you often have to wait two or three years. That’s when our director P. Narayanan proposed making an animation film. While planning ‘Kiki & Koko’, our creative director Gokul suggested many fantasy concepts. But we decided against them and chose to make an animation film that teaches children lessons they can observe, learn, and practice in real life. The film focuses on how children should speak, what they should or shouldn’t say, and how they should behave. In our childhood, elders used to narrate moral stories, from which we learned good values. Today’s children lack such exposure and are getting used to a fast-paced life. Hence, ‘Kiki & Koko’ is designed as an edutainment film to teach them good values. We also run a brand called Color Pencil, through which we bring apps and books for children. Additionally, we plan to release monthly merchandise based on ‘Kiki & Koko’. The film will have a theatrical release next year and will also stream on OTT platforms. This movie is not only for children, but also for adults with childlike hearts and for parents who want to learn how to raise their children.”
Producer Dharani said:
“Through ‘Kiki & Koko’, we are trying to convey emotions and values to children. Our main objective is to teach young boys and girls the realities of life and the importance of goodness. We will be releasing the animated film both in theatres and on OTT platforms.”
