Beauty will appeal to audiences across all sections: Producer Vijaypal Reddy Adidhala

The love and family entertainer Beauty, produced by Vijaypal Reddy Adidhala under the banners of A Maruthi Team Product, Vanara Celluloid, and Zee Studios, features Ankith Koyya, Nilakhi, Naresh, and Vasuki in the lead roles. The story and screenplay are penned by R.V. Subrahmanyam, with JSS Vardhan directing the film. Beauty is set for release on September 19. As part of promotions, producer Vijaypal Reddy spoke to the media. Here are the highlights:
You’ve been producing films continuously, regardless of results. Why so?
In the film industry, only one or two percent of movies succeed. It’s not possible to say, “I’ll make one film and it’ll definitely be a hit.” I entered the industry with the intention of producing films consistently, without being bound by outcomes. I want to back good stories and explore different genres. That’s why I produced Barbarik and Beauty. Next, I plan to produce films in the horror and comedy space.
How has the journey of Beauty been?
The journey has been wonderful so far. The title itself is very catchy and has reached people well. Songs, teaser, trailer—everything has received a positive response. Everyone who has watched it so far has appreciated it. I’m eagerly waiting for the release.
What aspect of Beauty do you personally like the most?
The film blends a beautiful love story with moving emotions. Beauty will stand as a film every middle-class family should watch. It’s a movie that children, parents, and the entire family can enjoy together. Personally, I love emotional scenes, and it was the depth of emotion in this story that drew me to produce it.
How was the support from Maruthi and Zee Studios?
The moment I heard the story of Beauty, I told Maruthi garu we should make it. Thanks to Zee Studios’ support, we were able to ensure the film reached audiences everywhere. Their cooperation, especially regarding release, is something I’ll never forget. We’re releasing the film in about 150 theaters, and depending on word of mouth, we’ll increase the count further.
Why did the budget for Beauty increase?
Initially, we shot the film with a different heroine for about a week. The writer was directing the film at that point. But the team felt the heroine did not look like a “girl next door” and didn’t quite suit the role. Later, Nilakhi came onboard. Because of that change, all the initial footage went to waste, which naturally pushed up the budget.
What’s the best compliment Beauty has received so far?
Many people have already watched Beauty. Some compared it to Baby and Court and appreciated it. Others even said it has the potential to collect 100 crores. Above all, they praised it as a film that will appeal to audiences across all sections.
