Maxivision Becomes First Corporate Eye Care Chain in Telangana to Introduce SMILE Pro (VISUMAX 800); Launched by Nagarjuna
Maxivision Super Speciality Eye Hospitals has launched the advanced SMILE Pro (VISUMAX 800) laser vision correction technology at its Somajiguda centre in Hyderabad, making it the first corporate eye care chain in Telangana to introduce this next-generation platform. Renowned actor Nagarjuna Akkineni unveiled the technology as Chief Guest alongside senior leaders from Maxivision, including Founder and Chief Mentor Dr. Kasu Prasad Reddy, Chairman Dr. GSK Velu, Chief Clinical Officer Dr. Varun Malhotra, Senior Cataract & Glaucoma Surgeon Dr. Anitha C Kamarthy, and Chief Business Officer Ganesh Subramaniam.
Technology Specifications and Clinical Capabilities:
The VISUMAX 800 platform enables flapless, minimally invasive laser vision correction through a small corneal incision with laser exposure times of under 10 seconds per eye. Designed to treat refractive errors such as myopia and astigmatism, the procedure minimizes surgical invasion while accelerating post-operative recovery timelines. Patients undergo comprehensive clinical assessments prior to treatment to evaluate suitability. Beyond refractive surgeries, Maxivision operates across six Indian states, providing multi-speciality care in cataract management, retina services, glaucoma, and cornea care.
Leadership Commentary:
Speaking at the launch event, Dr. Kasu Prasad Reddy, Founder and Chief Mentor of Maxivision Super Speciality Eye Hospitals, emphasized the organization’s focus on introducing meaningful ophthalmic innovations to elevate precision-driven treatments and improve patient care standards across Telangana. Dr. Varun Malhotra, Chief Clinical Officer, added that introducing SMILE Pro reinforces Maxivision’s commitment to expanding its clinical capabilities, investing in modern infrastructure, and bringing advanced eye care solutions closer to patients.
