L&T Finance Partners with Pine Labs to Launch Agentic Commerce on PLANET App

L&T Finance Ltd. (LTF) has announced a strategic partnership with Pine Labs Ltd. to integrate an Agentic Storefront into the L&T Finance PLANET App, unveiled at the Global Fintech Fest 2026. Powered by the Pine Labs Payments Protocol (P3P) and the Grantex protocol, this collaboration enables AI agents to interact and execute transactions securely within a governed framework. Moving beyond traditional conversational chatbots, the platform facilitates complete, end-to-end autonomous transaction fulfillment, starting with flight ticket bookings as its initial use case before scaling to additional merchant categories.

Transforming Transactions Through Autonomous AI Agents:
The Agentic Storefront unifies buyer-side and seller-side AI agents to manage the entire transaction lifecycle seamlessly. On the buyer side, customers state their intent on the PLANET App with pre-defined guardrails, allowing the buyer agent to autonomously discover, select, and purchase a flight on the customer’s behalf inside a secure, trusted environment. On the seller side, the seller agent interfaces directly with underlying airline systems to retrieve real-time flight availability, pricing, and booking details, returning actionable options to the buyer agent. Payments are executed autonomously via P3P utilizing the UPI payment functionality integrated into the PLANET App, while the Pine Labs Grantex protocol acts as the authorization, delegation, and compliance layer, providing verifiable identity, strict spend controls, and auditability.
