Dhaksha Unmanned Systems Inaugurates New Drone Manufacturing Facility in Kancheepuram

Dhaksha Unmanned Systems Private Limited, a subsidiary of Coromandel International Limited, inaugurated its new manufacturing facility at the Aymicheri region in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu in August 2026. The facility was officially inaugurated by Mr. Arun Alagappan, Executive Chairman of Coromandel International Limited, marking a major milestone in strengthening India’s indigenous drone manufacturing capabilities across the agricultural, defense, and enterprise sectors. The new facility will support the development and execution of larger, more complex programs across key unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) verticals while enabling greater indigenization of critical technologies to serve evolving customer requirements.

New Product Launches and Ecosystem Development:
During the inauguration event, Dhaksha announced the launch of two new agricultural drone models:

DH Agrigator E10 Prime: Developed using indigenous components, this model aligns directly with the Namo Drone Didi program and supports India’s expanding domestic drone ecosystem.

DH Agrigator E10 Eco: Designed as an affordable solution to expand access to drone-based farming services for small and marginal farmers as well as rural entrepreneurs.

Beyond agriculture, the facility features a dedicated production line to support Dhaksha’s growing defense portfolio, focusing on surveillance and logistics applications. This infrastructure will strengthen the company’s execution capabilities and bolster its indigenization efforts to gain greater control over critical technologies. Furthermore, the facility acts as an integrated platform for collaboration across the drone value chain, allowing technology partners to combine complementary capabilities under one roof.
