TAGC 2016 Dasara & Diwali Sambaralu
TAGC 2016 Executive Committee and Board concluded 2016 year with Dasara and Diwali Sambaraalu, on November 5th at The Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago, Lemont, IL, with nearly 1000 individuals attending this event. The venue was tastefully decorated with lights and Diwali banners. The event started with the event kick-off message by the cultural committee chair Mr. Sai Gongati followed by ‘GanapathiStotram’ by ShailajaIyer.
Several scintillating performances performed by the kids showcased the Telugu culture and the spirit of Diwali. These acts were followed by of musical saga of K. Vishwanath with an impeccable performance by local singers Mr. Praveen Jaligama, ShailajaIyer and Shobha Natarajan. What was appealing with the positive energy that resonated in the entire hall, from the singers to the audience, was a joie de vivre that was infectious with everyone joining in the singing, clapping, dancing and cheering.
TAGC provided sumptuous traditional dinner which won accolades from all the guests.
The show was further enlightened by the president’s message by Mr. Pradeep Kandimalla.
