In an event marking the commencement of his presidency, the 47th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, unveiled a series of transformative executive orders and policies aimed at restoring what he described as the “golden age of America.” Speaking before an energized audience at the inaugural ceremony, President Trump outlined his administration’s priorities, emphasizing economic recovery, national security, and the restoration of government accountability. Here are the major executive orders  and decisions announced
1.Rescission of 78 Biden-Era Executive Orders
President Trump signed an order to revoke 78 executive actions from the previous administration, which he characterized as “destructive and radical.” These include policies that he argued undermined national sovereignty and security.
2.Regulatory Freeze
A comprehensive freeze on federal regulations was enacted to curtail bureaucratic overreach. This measure aims to reduce red tape and restore control of government to the American people.
3.Federal Hiring Freeze
Except for military and essential roles, federal hiring will be paused. This initiative is designed to ensure only competent and dedicated personnel serve in government roles.
4.Return to In-Person Work for Federal Employees
President Trump mandated the immediate return of all federal workers to in-person roles, citing the need for efficiency and accountability in public service.
5.Addressing the Cost of Living Crisis
To tackle inflation and skyrocketing daily costs, the administration pledged aggressive action to reduce energy expenses and stabilize economic conditions.
6.Withdrawal from the Paris Climate Accord
Arguing the agreement unfairly burdened the U.S. while benefiting global polluters, the president announced the country’s withdrawal, claiming this move would save over a trillion dollars and protect American industries.
7.Restoration of Free Speech
An executive directive was issued to end government censorship and restore freedom of speech, ensuring open dialogue without undue interference.
8.Ending the Weaponization of Government
To prevent political persecution, the president ordered the preservation and review of records from the previous administration. This policy seeks to protect citizens and political figures from biased enforcement of laws.
9.Communication to the United Nations
A formal letter was prepared for the U.N., affirming America’s withdrawal from the Paris Climate Accord and underscoring the administration’s commitment to prioritizing national interests.
President Trump closed his address by promising an era of renewed prosperity and unity, reiterating his commitment to “Make America Great Again.” The policies set forth during the inaugural ceremony reflect his administration’s focus on economic strength, national security, and a robust defense of constitutional freedoms.
