Ortus International School officially opened its doors to usher in a new era of innovative, tech-enabled and holistic learning, offered through its first campus in Kokapet, Hyderabad. The grand launch was attended by esteemed dignitaries and education leaders from all over the country. 

The name "Ortus," meaning "beginning" in Latin, represents not just the start of a new 
educational journey, but the dawn of a revolutionary approach. Ortus International School is the brainchild of seasoned education leader Dr. Prasanna Mandava, whose illustrious career spans over three decades in academia. His extensive experience, encompassing roles such as the founding member and Academic Director of Vikas Educational Institutions, and Joint Managing Director at People Combine Educational Initiatives (the force behind Oakridge International Schools, Westberry Schools, and Oi Playschools), has culminated in this visionary institution. 

Ortus offers a unique blend of the CBSE and Cambridge syllabi. Ortus is skillfully bringing the best of two worlds: AI technology and Human values, infusing efficiency into creative thinking and preparing students to navigate a world where adaptability, empathy, and resilience are key. The Ortus International School purposefully incorporates a diverse range of programmes including sports, arts, music and much more. In their unique Global Perspectives and Sustainable Future module, students learn in green spaces on or off campus weekly. This helps them gain an appreciation for nature, a desire to join sustainable efforts, and to be responsible global citizens. 

Ortus’s methodology on AI-integrated learning is championed by mentor Mr. Naga Tummala, co-founder of Coschool.ai.

The leadership team at Ortus is further strengthened by Mr. Karunakara Rao Dasari, a retired IRS officer, who, along with a distinguished board of directors including Mahesh Lankipalli, Anirudh Reddy Jillela, Yasaswini Mandava, and, Nithin Reddy Jillela ensures that Ortus remains at the cutting edge of educational excellence. 

The launch evening of Ortus International School was made even more special by performances from the children of Westberry School under the leadership of Principal of the school, Ms. Sarah Smitha Sali. Cultural performances by the students of Veda Academy and Nishrinkala Academy added vibrance to the celebration. Mellifluous voices of the young talents nurtured by Guru Ramachary at the Little Musicians Academy of Hyderabad connected to the soul of the audience witnessing this fabulous evening unfurl. With the grand launch coming to a wrap, Ms. Seshu Latha Kodali, Head of Academics at Ortus International School extended the vote of thanks.
