CM Revanth Reddy appeals to GPOs to explain people about the misdeeds of BRS rule

BRS rulers scrapped the VRO and VRA system to hide land scams and escape from the law
Revenue officials were branded as criminals and thieves
Introduced Bhu Bharathi act to rectify anomalies in Dharani
Shall we not take action against BRS rulers for the collapse of Rs one lakh crore Kaleshwaram project in just 3 years ?
Dharani is a ‘virus’ created by KCR government to gobble up costly lands
All the struggles in Telangana are for the Land rights only
Chief Minister Shri A Revanth Reddy launched a vitriolic attack on the previous BRS government, accusing the KCR regime of scrapping the VRO and VRA system to conceal the big land scams. Further, the Chief Minister said that the last government portrayed the revenue officials as criminals and thieves to escape from the misdeeds committed by the BRS leaders during the 10 year rule.
Speaking after handing over appointment letters to Grama Palana Officers ( GPOs) at ‘ Koluvula Panduga” , the Chief Minister said that KCR government launched Dharani portal and gobbled up costly lands across the state. Unable to find a solution on his land ownership, a fed up farmer staged a protest at a Revenue department office in Ibrahimpatnam and also set an official on fire by pouring petrol on him. In another instance, a victim threw Mangalasutra at the officials in Sircilla. The unrest that exploded from the people was the result of the Dharani ‘virus’ created by the previous rulers and not the officials, the CM charged.
Appealing to the newly appointed GPOs to explain the wrongdoings committed by the last government , CM Revanth Reddy said that as promised by the Congress, the People’s Government dumped Dharani in the Bay of Bengal and introduced Bhu Bharati Act to address the grievances of people in a transparent manner. The CM blamed the BRS rulers for disintegrating the entire revenue system to escape from the law. “ Does it require burning down the house to kill the rats”. Shall we not take action against those responsible for the collapse of Rs one lakh crore Kaleshwaram project in just 3 years after construction”?
The Chief Minister urged the GPOs to play a responsible role in bridging the gap between the government and poorer sections. The main objective of the appointment of the officers was to solve the problems of the poor. “ You are all partners in the formation of Telangana state and also the People’s Government in the state. You should strive to stop the government from getting a bad image by strictly implementing the Bhu Bharathi act and solving Sada Bainama land rights “.
The Chief Minister also recalled the struggles of the RTC workers on their demands and some of them committed suicides in the last government. The CM emphasized that the GPOs should uphold their self respect through their services and erase the impression created by the previous government against the revenue officers.
CM Revanth Reddy highlighted the struggle for land launched by famous leaders Komuram Bheem, Chakali Ilamma and Ravi Narayana Reddy. It was the Telangana region that laid the foundation of the Bhoodan movement. Vedire Ramachandra Reddy has started the Bhoodan movement by distributing his thousands of acres to the poor and PV Narasimha Rao brought the Agriculture Ceiling Act to distribute the assigned lands to the poor, the CM said.
