Sri City Industries Enhance School Infrastructure Through Collaborative CSR Initiatives
Government Schools in the Region Benefit from ₹43-Lakh Infrastructure Enhancement
Reinforcing their commitment to community development, Chart VRV, Parksons Packaging and Bergen Pipe Supports, in coordination with the Sri City Foundation, have completed and inaugurated a series of infrastructure projects worth about ₹43 lakh in four government schools in and around Sri City under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Representatives of the respective industries formally inaugurated the newly created facilities on Friday, providing improved educational, sanitation and basic infrastructure to hundreds of students.
At the Zilla Parishad High School, Battalavallam, Chart VRV constructed separate toilet blocks for boys and girls at a cost of ₹12 lakh. The facilities were dedicated by Mr. Prasenjit Chattopadhyay, Director (Manufacturing), Chart VRV, and Ms. Nireesha Sannareddy, Director (CSR), Sri City.
At the Zilla Parishad High School, Varadaiahpalem, Parksons Packaging constructed a new girls’ toilet complex and a drinking water facility with an investment of ₹18 lakh. The facilities were inaugurated by Mr. Rahul Nerkar, Plant Head, Parksons Packaging, in the presence of Mr. Abhijit, Production Head, and Ms. Nireesha Sannareddy.
Bergen Pipe Supports undertook several development works worth around ₹10 lakh at the Mandal Parishad Primary School, Chennavaripalem. The company renovated two classrooms, built a new main entrance, constructed a compound wall and refurbished the kitchen. In another initiative, the company completed the semi constructed multipurpose hall at the Zilla Parishad High School, Madanapalem at a cost of approximately ₹3 lakh. The facility is expected to support various academic and cultural activities of students. The facilities were inaugurated by Ms. Nireesha Sannareddy, along with company representatives Mr. Satish Ramachandran, Director, Finance, and Mr. Altaf, Safety Manager.
Commenting on the initiatives undertaken by the companies, Ms. Nireesha Sannareddy, commended the industry partners for their continued commitment to strengthening infrastructure in government schools and urged students and teachers to make the best use of the newly created facilities. She noted that the collaborative efforts of the Sri City Foundation and its partner industries are significantly enhancing educational infrastructure across the region. Reiterating Sri City’s commitment to community development, she said that more initiatives in the areas of education, healthcare and social welfare would be taken up in the future.
Teachers and students expressed their appreciation for the upgraded facilities and thanked the Sri City Foundation and the participating industries for addressing their requirements and helping create a more conducive learning environment.
