IAS Trainees Hail City’s Planning, Infrastructure
A 19-member team of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer trainees-2023 batch visited Sri City on a study tour on Monday, marvelling at its meticulous planning, infrastructure, and commitment to sustainable development. The visit, part of the Bharat Darshan programme, offered the future administrators a firsthand glimpse into the city’s success as a model industrial hub.
Mr. Satish Kamat, President (Operations) at Sri City, welcomed the trainees and showcased the city’s unique features. He highlighted Sri City’s role in driving India’s Make-in-India initiative, fostering job creation, and propelling regional economic growth.
The trainees were particularly impressed by Sri City’s business-friendly environment and world-class infrastructure. The team leader remarked, “Sri City is a marvel. The planning and execution are flawless, creating an ideal ecosystem for both businesses and residents.”
Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director of Sri City, expressed pride in the city’s recognition as a model for administrators and planners. He stated, “We are honoured that Sri City’s implementation model is being studied and replicated. We are happy to share our experience with future leaders.”
The trainees engaged in a lively discussion with Sri City officials, inquiring about various aspects of the city’s operation. They also toured the mega-industrial park. This visit underscores Sri City’s growing reputation as a benchmark for sustainable urban development and its role in shaping India’s economic future. The IAS trainees’ admiration for the city’s planning and infrastructure is a testament to its success in creating a thriving environment for businesses and residents alike.
