Sri City hosts Special Enforcement Bureau‘s conclave DSEO, Tirupati presides over the meeting

The District Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) held its review meeting in Sri City on Monday, chaired by Mr. A. Rajendra, the Tirupati District Special Enforcement Officer (DSEO). In his address to the attendees, the DSEO highlighted various measures necessary for effective control of drug trafficking and strategies to reduce drug consumption. He instructed SEB officers to identify all channels involved in illegal drug smuggling across the district and enhance the department’s information network. He recommended raising awareness about the severe legal consequences for illegal drug traffickers and users to encourage voluntary rehabilitation. Additionally, he urged the SEB and local police to collaborate closely in cracking down on the illicit production of arrack, drug smugglers and peddlers, as well as the influx and sale of out-of-state liquor, by strengthening surveillance and communication systems. He stressed the objective of making the region a drug-free zone, and keep a watch on all the old offenders.
Thanking the Additional Superintendent of Police, Tirupati, SEB for giving the opportunity to host the conclave, Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City said,”Tirupati district, being ‘green’ in all aspects, has been thriving with industrial activity and higher academic institutions. Initiatives of this kind will certainly help in maintaining Sri City region ‘safe and healthy’. I make an appeal to everyone including the employees of Sri City industries and students hailing from different parts of the country to cooperate with SEB and local police in making the region free from drugs and ensuring a peaceful environment.”
SEB Circle Inspectors and Sub-inspectors of Tirupati Urban, Rural, Tirumala, Chandragiri Rural, Srikalahasti, Puttur, Naagalaapuram, Guduru, Venkatagiri, Sullurupeta, Naidupet, Vaakaadu and District Task Force and Intelligence officials attended this review meeting.
