The Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy temple in Sri City was filled with devotion and spirituality as a large gathering of devotees participated in the Go-puja (cow worship) on Saturday. Organized by Srivani, Sri City's Spiritual and Literary Forum, the ceremony was conducted with deep religious fervour as part of the Sravanamasam celebrations.
The event began with special rituals, including the recitation of Vedic chants, Suprabhaata Seva, and other poojas, creating a serene and divine atmosphere within the temple. Vedic scholars emphasised the significance of Go-puja, highlighting the sacred bond between 'Govinda and Gomata' as described in the Venkatachala Mahatyam.
Adding to the spiritual ambiance, the Annamacharya Project from Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam sponsored the 'Annamayya Sankeerthanavali' programme. Renowned musicians T. Tejovati (Vocal), K. Bharadwaj (Keyboard), K. Gopi (Tabala), and G. Srinivasulu (Sruti) performed six popular Annamacharya krities, followed by the Govinda namavali. Members of Sri Tiru Venkata Ramanuja Bhakta Samajam also contributed to the event with their rhythmic bhajans in praise of Lord Sri Venkateswara.
Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy expressed his delight at the overwhelming participation of the community, praising the event's success. Devotees left the temple spiritually rejuvenated, enjoying the teertha prasadam and anna prasadam, which added to the memorable experience.
