Sri City Celebrates 80th Independence Day with Patriotic Zeal

Sri City tableau of APIIC at the Tirupati Independence Day parade, won first prize. Presenting the award, Hon’ble Endowments Minister Mr. Anam Ram Narayan Reddy lauded APIIC and appreciated Sri City’s role in attracting global investments, creating ample employment opportunities and generating government revenues. Featuring miniatures of a metro coach, Kobelco escalator, Isuzu car and air conditioners made at Sri City, the tableau showcased its diverse manufacturing ecosystem and contribution to Andhra Pradesh’s industrial growth.

In a message, Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director, Sri City complimented the APIIC, District Industries Centre and Sri City team for bagging the award for the tableau. He highlighted Sri City’s contribution to the ‘Make for World’ vision through 260+ manufacturing companies generating employment and driving economic growth. He extended his Independence Day greetings and called upon the Sri City community to reaffirm its commitment to nation-building.

Independence Day Celebrations in Sri City Shine with Community Spirit !

The 80th Independence Day celebrations at Sri City reflected the strong community spirit and commitment to inclusive growth and nation-building.

Mr. B.V. Srinivasulu, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sri City, unfurled the National Flag and took the guard of honour in a parade held by the Sri City Security Force. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Srinivasulu paid tribute to the freedom fighters and stressed the importance of a safe and secure environment for industrial growth. He urged stakeholders to further strengthen Sri City’s safety and security systems.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Ramesh, AGM, Security & Vigilance, while Mr. Ramesh Kumar, Vice President, Customer Relations, addressed the gathering.

As part of the celebrations, an Appreciation Award was presented to Mr. Kumaresan of CR Caterers India Pvt. Ltd. (CRCL) for his timely assistance in helping an unwell employee reach the hospital. ‘Best Performance’ awards were presented to 35 personnel from Security, Housekeeping and Landscaping, along with local police personnel, for their dedicated service.

The celebrations featured the National Anthem in Indian Sign Language (ISL) by deaf and hard-of-hearing youth undergoing CSR-supported skill training at Sri City, along with Kolatam and traditional dances by residents of neighbouring villages. Independence Day programmes were also held across Sri City’s industrial units and institutions, including 17 government schools and 14 anganwadis.
