Sri City Celebrates 78th Independence Day with Patriotic Zeal and Community Spirit

The vibrant community of Sri City came together to celebrate India's 78th Independence Day with immense enthusiasm and pride. The momentous occasion was marked by a colourful ceremony at the Business Centre, where the National Flag was hoisted by Mr. Satyanarayana, Assistant Development Commissioner (ADC), Sri City SEZ, followed by an impressive parade by the Sri City security force.
Mr. Ramesh, Head, Security & Vigilance extended a warm welcome to the chief guest and other distinguished guests, and introduced the security officers to the chief guest.
In his address, Mr. Satyanarayana emphasised the significance of remembering the sacrifices of freedom fighters, and urged all citizens to support the government in its endeavours. Recognising the remarkable growth of Sri City, he lauded the efforts of the Sri City Management in creating ample employment opportunities in a previously backward region.
Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City, extended his greetings in a message emphasising the collective responsibility of the Sri City community to build a stronger and more prosperous India. He highlighted Sri City's active role in the 'Make for World' campaign, hosting over 220 manufacturing industries across various sectors. This, he stated, is a significant contribution towards job creation and economic growth. Dr. Sannareddy expressed delight at the active participation of women and children from neighbouring villages in the celebrations.
The event featured the presentation of ‘Best Performance’ awards to 38 personnel, from Security, Housekeeping and Landscaping divisions, and local police constables, in recognition of their exceptional contributions. The celebration was enriched with captivating cultural performances, featuring Silambu Attam, Bharata Natyam and Kolatam dances performed by young girls, boys and women from the villages of Gollavari Palem, Aaruru and Appayapalem.
The spirit of Independence Day resonated throughout Sri City, with enthusiastic celebrations held across various industrial units, the Development Commissioner's Office, HRD Academy, IIIT, Krea University, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, seventeen government schools, and fourteen anganwadis in Sri City villages.
